In Buddhist tradition, the paradise is depicted as a place “full of giant lotuses, clear fountains and golden sand”; the urban planning model “Garden City” proposed by Ebenezer Howard in 1898 pictures the ideal city as human communities surrounded by large greenbelts. Inspired by these two ideas, this animation presents the artist’s response to the ever-lasting questioning of ideal human habitat. Is there a so-called “Nature”? What is human’s place in Nature? Is post-industrial life against Nature? Is it possible to construct a paradise where we are?
