Variable dimensions
In the theory of Chinese medicine, the human body is a small cosmos, and to sustain its operation requires a constant exchange with the big one. This exchange is done through the act of eating, so we can say that our “small cosmos” is composed of our daily intake: we are what we eat.
This installation is comprised of ingredients from the artist’s diet, thus a map of a potential galaxy in her body cosmos. It is a way of revealing a continuity between human body and the universe that we live in.
